Bird lime, minor scratches, solid lumps of clay in wheelarches, the outside had it all.
Even minor rust (treatable) helped the outside to look truly terrible.
Light scuffs with a bit of white paint rub-off, hopefully these would wet sand out prior to polishing.
Not too bad at all in this photo, it showed the potential that was hiding underneath, a wonderful car when in good condition, finished in metallic black paint - a detailer's favourite.
You thought the exterior was bad? Take a took at what was originally a passenger seat, now cleverly disguised as a brown and grey coastal map of the world (please excuse the mobile phone photo - flat camera battery but this seat had to be seen at any cost...):
The driver's side and door cards hadn't survived much better, it makes you wonder what pub seats would look like if they were plain grey and not dark and patterned.
General doorshut grime and mud, a good indicator of a diiference between a vehicle that has been cleaned for sale and one that has been cleaned properly for sale.
The back seats were bad enough, all should be treatable with the magic detailing stick.
Things weren't looking great underneath the bonnet, plenty of engine dust and dirt, the M42 powerplant however was in good condition, also with a distinct lack also of any fluid leaks or damage.
Very unappealing under-bonnet sound deadening also present.
