Getting there, as with most projects it ends up being the small finishing items and tasks that take the most time:
Heater and blower from the (2001!) donor car. Still worked fine but looks like it should be in a wartime museum.
Stripped and rebuilt, unfortunately there was no camera to hand when the pile of leaves and dust fell out of the side on disassembly:
Final assembly, mudflaps, wheelarch liners, brake cleaner:
Looking like it has always lived in there..
New interior fitted, no stereo, no carpets, the way Colin would have liked it:
Under bonnet rebuild with all parts replaced or laboriously cleaned to be 'as new' condition:
Final polish, any minor swirls or marks are treated with a dose of the rotary polisher:
