This car was originally included as a project as it was intended to be used for the development of a conversion kit using Honda's newer K20Z Type R engine. Time constraints unfortunately meant this Series 1 Exige received the more conventional K20A transplant as well as a light makeover.
All mesh in need of a new coat of black paint:
Plenty of minor fibreglass imperfections:
A fibreglass strike mark, in this obscure location it could only have been caused by an impact from within the boot box area.
Black silicon residue:
A common problem on Series 1 Elises and Exiges - impact cracks on the door edges from closure - these will need to be drilled, chased out and repaired.
Bubbling paint known as 'osmosis' caused by trapped moisture in the fibres rising to the painted surface over time.
Stickers previously sprayed over:
Previously painted inner sill with chipped paint - very difficult to match in a repair.
